I have not personally used eSyndicat yet but it looks like a very robust directory script with an impressive demo. The features parallel those of Indexu’s but it does contain 12 free templates you can use compared to Indexu’s 5 or so as well as many plugins you can purchase to extend the functionality of your directory.

They do offer a free version of their software you can test out. Their unlimited domain license is one of the cheapest out there at $499.

PHPmydirectory is a very robust directory script and has a lot of very attractive features. I’ve used this script on several sites. This script is set up to include detail pages for every listing and is mostly for listing businesses. Each detail page allows businesses to include their full details including address, phone #, URL, images, banners and products. It is by far the best script for running a business Yellow Pages type directory.
